Construction of a nuclear power station in Belarus (East Europe) is to start in January 2009. According to plans, the first bloc of the nuclear power station is to be launched in 2016, the second in 2018. It is planned to use water-moderated water-cooled reactors of the third generation. According to experts, the nuclear power station will be constructed by Russia (Chernobyl model) and Iran.

The intention of the regime to construct the nuclear power station has caused protests of scientists and population. Belarus is the country most affected by the catastrophe at Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Scientists advocate prohibition of placing nuclear armaments and its elements at the country’s territory, construction of nuclear power plants and storage of nuclear waste.

A nonprofit organization that creates, educates, and supports teams of volunteers to provide practical and emotional support for those living in isolation and need with HIV/AIDS and struggling daily with the physically and emotionally debilitating consequences.
AICT's mission is to prevent the spread of HIV and improve the lives of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Belarus County. This occurs by providing transportation, food, mental services and case management to people living with HIV/AIDS. In addition AICT performs safe and confidential HIV testing to the County.
